Map: McDonald’s Is Never a Far Drive

This map making the rounds on the Internet lately shows every McDonald’s in 48 of our 50 states. The people who made it, over at Weather Sealed, figured out that the two farthest McDonald’s from each other in the contiguous US are in southwest South Dakota — a 145-mile drive from each other.

What is the correlation between this and the obesity map? That overlay would be interesting!

OK, but I couldn’t find one in a pinch near Dobson/60 in Mesa yesterday when I promised my 2 y.o. french fries before her medical procedure!!

Well, we can all poke fun but the fact is that McDonalds has established itself as the very best in understanding, penetrating and serving its marketfor over 40 years. And we can all shake our heads and discourage our kids from eating there but let’s be honest…. once in a while a Big Mac is REALLY GOOY and you know it! And the fries are the best, always…..

Companies like McDonald’s could ONLY have originated in America. So hat’s off to a true American success story!
